Vegetable Ivory Float Necklace

Float Necklace is handcrafted from slices of vegetable ivory (tagua seed) which are dyed a myriad of rich and vibrant shades and then suspended horizantally from brown waxed cotton cord.  The cord extends so that you can wear this very pretty necklace long, short or anywhere in between.

Vegetable ivory is one of nature's heroes - it's use in jewellery, fashion and textiles is helping to stop elephants being killed for their ivory, it is 100% sustainable and also the fine dust produced from working the nut is used to enrich livestock feed.  The artisans who made this necklace are certified in Colombia by the Administrative Department of the Environment and comply with all environmental conservation policies.
